more flashdance!

and here is another installment of texas A&M's FLASHDANCE! This weeks tune was "single ladies" by Beyonce. ferosh! [sorry for that :p]
enjoi!

we practiced the night before. how can you not love theatre kids? i hear the goal is to make FLASHDANCE! a recognized organization soon. all that means is bigger and better things. i think it just another way for students to have fun, but still do something meaningful. every performance has just gotten bigger. the sky's the limit really. :D

hahah

some kids from class made a rap thing. hilarious...

i will end the night with this

johnny cash is one of favorite musicians [even though i dont like country]. his cover of Nine Inch Nails song "hurt" gives me goosebumps. you can hear the emotion in his voice. cash was able to put his own art into another one's art

oldie but a goodie

i wonder how long this took him/her to time this and figure out the finger thing...
there is another video out there that took the same idea but incorporate their bodies. i will have to find it later.
anywho. great timing and fun song.
enjoy Daft Punk.

green day "21st century breakdown".

BTHO t.u.

this video always makes me learn. rivalries never die!

slam poetry

something i have gotten into is slam poetry. there is a "dive" bar out in downtown bryan [tx] that i go to called revolutions and sometimes perform. the even is held every other sunday. the event is called "Speak!". it is a way for local poets, musicians, artist to showcase their talents in an environment that is pure art. it is a great feeling.

here is an example of a slam poet:

Saul Williams "Coded Language"

some background on this.
24hr theatre and Alpha Psi Omega has a philanthropy project every year. basically what we do is either 24 hrs of straight theatre performance and as of last year we do what can be simplified as the one day play (a play is written, memorized, blocked, lit, staged all in one day for a paying audience). two years ago we decided we needed a more creative way to advertise for our project. we decided "freezes" at rudder plaza would be a good way. he are the results.

HALLOWEEEEN!!!
stop motion animation. one of the best movies ever. i can not even imagine the amount of time it took to create this. you have to agree that this is very imaginative!
Enjoy Jack Skellington and his song "What's This" from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas!

all done on a computer...
